Our orchard in Loralai

Loralai Olive Oils is a family business from Loralai, in the north-east of Balochistan. We grow our own olive trees in the valley there, harvest them each autumn and press the oil ourselves.

Why Loralai

Loralai sits high in the mountains, with hot summers, cold winters and very little rain. Olive trees are at home in this kind of climate. They grow slowly, and their fruit makes a fresh, peppery oil.

How we make our oil

We harvest in September and October. The olives are pressed on the same day they are picked, without heat or chemicals. The oil then rests and is bottled in dark glass to protect it from light.

We never blend in oil from anywhere else. What is in the bottle comes from our own trees.

Freshly harvested olives and olive leaves

Harvested in autumn

We pick our olives in September and October, as they turn from green to deep purple and the oil inside is at its freshest.

Pressed the same day

The olives reach the press within hours of picking. We cold press them without heat or chemicals, so the flavour and goodness stay in the oil.

Bottled in dark glass

The oil rests, then goes into dark glass that keeps the light out. Every bottle holds oil from our own trees and nothing else.

Our standards

Our oil is produced to Halal, HACCP and ISO standards.
